With over 55 power plants throughout Italy as of the end of 2008, B.T.S. Italia Srl is today the absolute market leader. The total productive capacity of these plants amounts to more than 30 MW, which is enough to meet the energy needs of 55,000 homes, or rather, a city the size of Verona

• 2009 – B.T.S. Biogas GmbH founded for the German market

• 2006 – 1st plant using slaughterhouse waste (Fossato di Rodigo, MN)
• 2005 – 1st plant connected to local district heating system (Terento, BZ)
• 2004 – 1st company plant of 1 MW in Italy (Maleo, LO)
• 2003 – 1st consortium organised plant of 1 MW in Italy (Campo Tures, BZ)
• 2002 – U.T.S. Italia Tecnologie ambientali Srl established
