Automation

The transformation of both liquid and solid inputs into electrical energy happens automatically. The only parts of the plant which are not totally automised are those which concern the loading of the preliminary tank and feeder, and the collection of digested waste.

Semiautomatic parts of the plant

  • Supply programme. This tells the operator which material to load the feeder with or what to pump into the preliminary tank.
  • Collection programme. In consortium organised plants, this memorises the quantity of  digested waste material collected by each  farmer.

Totally automatic parts of the plant

  • Transport of solid material from the feeder to the fermenters
  • Pumps for liquid substances from and to every tank in the system
  • Heating of the tanks
  • Mixing in the tanks
  • Automatic measurement of physical scales (temperature, pressure, flow, gas type    etc)
  • Data exchange with the motor to optimise it's useage

Remote control

The plant can be controlled ,checked and operated over the internet, or even by using a mobile phone.
  • Diagram generating software for reading mixing data
  • Web interface to control and check the plant via mobile phone
  • Webcams
  • Software for remote controlled maintenence
